ThinkEnergy Fellowship Profile: Evan Haug
CWRU's Great Lakes Energy Institute profiles Evan Haug and the LEAF team as part of the 2020-2021 ThinkEnergy Fellowship cohort.
Evan Haug was profiled by the Great Lakes Energy Institute as part of the 2020-2021 ThinkEnergy Fellowship cohort at Case Western Reserve University.
The ThinkEnergy Fellowship connects students with faculty, companies, and investors. Fellows work in teams to design and prototype energy solutions while creating a business plan and aiming to commercialize their technology. Evan works among 15 students from various disciplines on entrepreneurial energy projects.
In the profile, Evan explains: "The LEAF team is working on streamlining and simplifying the solar design/engineering process by creating an AutoCAD plug-in that automates most of the manual tasks commonly associated with a design."
The fellowship has been valuable for the team's development. As Evan notes: "I have thoroughly enjoyed the weekly speakers that come in and present on relevant subjects in the green energy field."
The ThinkEnergy Fellowship at the Great Lakes Energy Institute helped lay the foundation for what Leaf would become.
